Yet another set of pictures of whatever the latest CCG set is. In this case it is Yu Gi Oh Ancient Prophecy!
Luckily, this is the last set of pictures I’m going to post until October when the new Magic the Gathering set known as Zendikar releases. However, for now enjoy these Ancient Prophecy pictures!
One more thing, please don’t steal these images or the Troll will have my hide.

The biggest news with Yu-Gi-Oh (opens in new window) currently is the upcoming set called Yu Gi Oh Ancient Prophecy (opens in new window) which was previously set to release sometime in August, 2009 but the latest information I have found has the new release date set for September 1st, 2009. Ancient Prophecy will release with 10 TCG exclusives including some of the most powerful trading card game exclusives ever. Also, it will arrive with 10 bonus promo cards previously only available in Japan. That isn’t all, it will contain 8 new X-Saber cards to boost the X-Sabers release in the Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D’s Starter Deck from 2009 as well as more Blackwing, Morphtronic, Earthbound Immortal and Koa’ki Meiru monsters.
In total the complete set will contain 100 cards, 48 common cards, 20 rare cards, 14 super rare cards & 10 ultra rare cards.
Enjoy!

The new Yu-Gi-Oh! set has been dubbed Raging Battle and is set to release May 12th, 2009. Raging Battle is the 4th set of the 6th series and features the Power Tool Dragon on the cover of each booster pack. This set is a continuation of Crimson Crisis and introduces all new traps, spells and of course synchro monsters. One of the most exciting aspects of this new set is that it comes with two new families of monsters. The first family called the Earthbound Immortals are powerful monsters based on the television series. The second family called Koa’ki Meiru monsters are based around countering the top decks currently being played in Yu-Gi-Oh.
For more information about Yu-Gi-Oh! check out the Yu-Gi-Oh! section on TCGPlayer or our Yu-Gi-Oh! cards category at the official Troll And Toad website.

Welcome to the Troll and Toad weblog. In this post I’ll round up the websites I use most for different types of hobby gaming. I plan to update this list as I get more familiar with getting webbed up to netpages or whatever young people call using the internet, check it:
CCGs/TCGs
Board Games
- Board Game Geek – BGG is the authority on anything dealing with, you guessed it, board games
- About.com: Board Games – I’m not usually a fan of About.com pages but the board game information is updated often with quality information
RPGs
- Wikipedia – This probably isn’t your first thought when looking for roleplaying game information, but trust me it’s an awesome resource for finding info. on unusual RPGs
- Wizards: Official D&D Website – The official Dungeons & Dragons website is difficult to navigate but contains a lot of good information on the most popular RPG
- RPG Gateway – A very robust list of links to RPG websites
Video Games
- GameSpot – GS is probably the most popular video game website. My favorite part of GameSpot is the reviews section
- JoyStiq – In my opinion the best video game blog. It is funny and updated several times per day
- IGN – Another very popular video game information website
- GameFAQ – GameFAQs is by far the best website to find video game walkthroughs
- Game Revolution – Very old video game website that provides cheat codes for thousands of games
I’m aware of many other sites for the related categories but these are my favorites. If you know of one that you feel should be on this list feel free to send it to me, ryang@trollandtoad.com.
